Trial Run

My cousin Brittany is doing my hair for the wedding so she came out to do a trial run on my hair.  I tried on my dress when we were done to see it all together and I got really excited.  It made it all really real!  Here are some pics.  I will be doing something with my bangs and they didn't looked that slicked back in person! haha

This is a pic of the top of my dress, but you'll have to wait to see the full thing! :-)

Craft Night

Craft night was a huge success!  Holly, Ash, Whit, Kate and Tami all came over and helped me last night.  We threw on The Bachelorette and everyone worked while they caught up on their reality tv! haha  We got a ton of stuff and I'm so grateful for the help because it has been looming over my head for week trying to do things one by one on my own.  So thanks girls!  You're a lifesaver!

I had spray painted the frames for the table numbers but we were able to get them touched up last night.

Kait is holding something at this moment, but she was really there more for the social hour! haha JK

Holly was the corner rounding pro and knocked out all my programs.....well at least the two pages that are printed.  Her thumbs will recover before I have her come back to finish the last three pages! haha

Whit and Tami were in charge of topiaries, and painting the frames.

We got the 2nd topiary done besides one little bald spot on the back of its head. haha

3rd topiary that hasn't been started.  I'll leave that for next craft night. :-)

What did I do, well it felt like a whole lot of nothing. haha  Everyone asked me what they could do, so I would wander around and find stuff for them, get them all set up with tools and then go to the next person.  I think I more facilitated than worked! haha

Ceremony Music

So I finally figured out the ceremony music. Whew! It's been looming over my head for months now! It didn't help that everytime I tried to download a new version of iTunes, it was trying to save it to a removable disk on my computer that didn't exist! Ugh! But I finally got it finished.
I wanted some non traditional music since it's a "beach" wedding, so no Canon in D or the Love song from the Hymns of Zion! haha So here's the music during the seating of the Guests:
I do - Colbie Caillat
One Love - Bob Marley
The Heart of Life - John Mayer
The Luckiest - Ben Folds
I'm Yours - Jason Mraz
Collide - Howie Day
Better Together - Jack Johnson
Then the bridesmaids are walking into:
Somewhere over the Rainbow - Israel Kamakawiwo'ole
And I'm walking into:
Lucky - Jason Mraz & Colbie Caillat
Like I said, I wanted some non traditional music. :-)  Now on to the reception music!

Here's the link to Lucky.  I'd paste the video but Blogger doesn't want to cooperate with me today.

Engagement Pictures

I got Tami's permission before I put these up so I'm not doing anything against the rules. haha We did our engagement shoot about a month ago now.  Brian was a little unsure of the whole process so I was trying to ease the awkwardness and suggested taking them out at the farm so we could get one with his other love.......his tractor! haha He liked that idea but he kind of got the wrong impression.  He thought we would be in the fields running the tractor and Tami would just stand at the turn and we'd just open the down as we made the turn and she'd snap a photo.  Not exactly what I had in mind! haha  So we got some with his tractor, just not in motion. :-)

I love this picture of Brian.  He loves that tractor just like a little boy would love his cherished toy tractor and I think this picture shows it.  So cute!  Tami said, do you want Tara to get on the steps with you and he said, no just me! haha

Brian was so proud of these corn pictures because they were his idea and he thought the corn was looking mighty fine in these photos.  :-)  They did turn out neat so I did have to give him props.  I shot down the ones of us in the bean field though with our arms spread wide displaying the beans! haha
This is another one of Brian's ideas.  We were actually in the ditch in front of his dad's house.  What you can't see are my sopping wet flip flops. haha
So what Tami didn't tell you about this photo shoot on her blog is that we locked our keys in the car at the pond about 5 miles away from the house.  This would be one of the pictures we took on our walk back.  We had no phones on us and no way to get back besides walk through about knee high grass.  Thankfully some kind neighbors took pity on us about halfway back! haha

I love this one!  Probably one of my favorites!  Although something about it makes me think of that painting the farmer and his wife.  I feel like one of us needs a pitchfork! haha
This would have been another favorite had it not been for my fly away bangs! haha

This picture makes me laugh.  I feel like I look like a drill sargent and he's standing at attention. haha

I love this one if I could just crop out my long gangly fingers! haha

Placecard Holders

I realized as I was putting together name tags for the dessert table that half my food was going to be on platters and not in a jar so I didn't have a way to put a label on it to say what it was.  So I had seen these cute little placecard holders months ago when I was looking for table decorations and thought they would be good for the dessert table to label the food.

Bridesmaid Dresses are in!

Bridesmaid dresses are here!  I forgot to take pictures of all of them before I gave them to all the girls so these are Whit and Kate's. They will still have a pink sash to go with them as well, but those are all in California right now.  Thankfully every girl's dress fits! Woo hoo!  Some minor alterations to take up and take in but I'd rather be taking away material than trying to add it. haha  We had a slight scare with Kate's but she tried it on for me this morning and I gave the zipper a little heave ho and she was good to go! haha  So now that they're here it's getting more real.  Can't believe it's about two months away!  CRAZY!!!

Who Would Have Known?

I've been going through old photos recently to put together pictures for our guest book table and table numbers.  Seeing Brian's(& Brent's :-)) baby pictures has been thoroughly entertaining.  First of all, there will be no photos of just Brian.  So it will be Brian and Brent and then me and then Brian and Brent and then me! haha  So here are just two that I thought I'd show you. Who would have know that 30 some odd years ago we'd be getting married having grown up so close to each other, living in the same time at some points and never knowing the other person even existed. :-)

Unfortunately I have no clue who is who, but aren't they cute?  I even asked the boys and they don't even know so how in the world am I supposed to tell them apart? haha

Party Booth

So I went ahead with the party booth for the reception.  Instead of having a guest book, each person will get their picture taken in the photo booth.  They will each get an 8.5x11 sheet of four pictures printed out like you see below.  The background color is going to be hot pink in all the photos. :-)  So each guest gets to take this home with them and I get a CD of all the pictures later so I have a record of who was at the wedding as well as a fun way to document the day.  We have it rented for four hours so people can go in it more than once if they want.

Our Wedding Bands

Our wedding bands came in the last couple weeks.  Mine matches my engagement ring bands but will be worn on my right hand instead of my left since I already have a double band for my engagement ring.  Brian didn't want anything fancy since he can't wear his to work since he's on the shop floor a lot.  So it will basically be a weekend wedding band. haha

Thank You Cards

I said I was going to use this logo wherever I could and I meant it! haha I got my thank you cards in the mail the other day and I was really pleased with them.  They printed a little darker pink than I thought they'd be so they almost look red but I still like them.  :-)
